Covenant Alzheimer’s Care will host a free Dementia Education for the Healthcare Professional training on Wednesday, November 2nd, at the Panama City Branch of Florida State University. This education will offer up to 8 hours Continuing Education Units to healthcare professionals. The training is free of charge but space is limited and registration is required by emailing DementiaCEUPanamaCity@choosecovenant.org.
The day-long training will focus on topics such as Diagnostic Workup for Unusual Cases of Dementia presented by David J Sinclair M.D.; Parallel Perspectives: Considerations for Veterans Living with Dementia presented by Jennifer Reyes, NHA; Forgetting Something? The Pharmacological Treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease presented by Suzanne Kelley, CPH, Pharmacist; Alzheimer’s: Up Close & Personal presented by local Alzheimer’s Advocate Brian LeBlanc; Understanding the Behavioral Expressions of Dementia presented by Kitty Bradshaw, RN.; Quarterbacking Care: A Caregiver’s Journey through the Healthcare System presented by Martha Allegri, RN, Dementia Nurse Specialist; Dementia and Spirituality: Finding Meaning in Mayhem presented by Michael Bryan, M. Div, M.A.; and Helping Children Understand Alzheimer’s Disease presented by Latonia Jennings, Bereavement Coordinator.
